Green and renewable supply
Each AI factory is powered by renewable generation contracted under a long-term power purchase agreement, matched to the site's local resources.
Sustainability
Sustainability is part of a Caldera project's design from site selection onwards. Power, cooling, backup and noise are decided before the engineering is signed off, because that is when they can be decided well.
The same principles apply to every project, adapted to the resources of each site.
Each AI factory is powered by renewable generation contracted under a long-term power purchase agreement, matched to the site's local resources.
Backup plant is specified for the lowest practical emissions, so resilience does not come at the cost of the carbon footprint.
Cooling is designed to need almost no water from local sources, leaving it for the communities and agriculture around the site.
Acoustic attenuation is engineered into the layout, enclosures and plant selection, so the facility is a quiet neighbour.
For the makers of AI hardware, the electricity their products use in customers' facilities counts towards their own scope 3 emissions. Where accelerators run is part of their footprint.
Sustainability is also social. Each project is delivered with specialist partners from its own region.
Local power, geology and civil-works specialists know the ground, the grid and the climate.
Sourcing locally where we can shortens supply chains and keeps value in the host economy.
Each project builds lasting engineering and operations capability where the AI factory stands.
